The Ram Nagrani Scholarship – IIT Kanpur

The Foundation received a 105 eligible applications (one of the criteria used for selection was that the annual gross income for the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs. 500,000/- in the previous financial year).

72% of the applicants were from UP, Rajasthan and Bihar. The median annual family income was Rs. 90,000.

27% of the applicants fathers were farmers or in the agriculture trade.

20 students were shortlisted for interviews and 12 were finally selected for the scholarship.
